Are you a “Situational Dresser”?

Before we get started: I have a giveaway going on here. May 12, will be the last day to enter! Read the post to find out how to enter. Winner will be revealed May 14. Thank You & Good Luck!!

I’m sure when the time comes for any special occasion or any activity, you look at your closet and think “what am I going to wear?”. There’s the a dress for a wedding, or a swimsuit for the beach. You then got it down. But have you ever thought about the different types of situations that might occur on that day or during that event? If your answer is “yes” then you’re probably on the lines of someone called a “situational dresser”. And I’ll explain what that is here!

Outfit from work to an unexpected Friday night out~

To better explain this, I’ll be using different scenarios.

You have a day at the beach planned with some friends…you pick out what swimsuit you’ll be using. You pack your towels, essentials, and you wear your outfit. But have you ever thought about what you and your friends might do before or after the beach? What if someone wants to go to mall or there’s a surprise party that comes up. Now you’re stuck with a sheer cover up and flip-flops. Fast forward after the beach and you arrive to the party, but you’re the only one with flip-flops and you feel underdressed.

Or, there’s a small get together at a friends house. You know someone important or someone you like might be there. But you decide to go super casual because you don’t think much matters. You get to your friends house, and your crush is there, or someone you could do business with is there! Now you wished you threw on that blazer, or wore your nice shoes instead of your beat up converse shoes.

From the beach to hanging out in shops~

The goal of a “situational dresser” is to be on point wherever you go. Situational dressers don’t want to be either underdressed or overdressed. Now I’m not saying that you can’t wear what you want. And there’s that quote “Why try to fit in, when you’re born to stand out?”. But all i’m saying is that you shouldn’t have your confidence depleted because of what you’re wearing. You should think outside of the activity or event..think outside the box. If you think something else might occur throughout the day, go ahead and pack some extra clothing that would fit into your situation. Think about the environment of where you’re going, or what other people might be wearing at the event. Is it indoors or outdoors? Will your friends want to go somewhere else afterwards? Once you answer those questions, then you’ll have a clearer picture of what you should wear or pack.

And as always, I hope you folks enjoyed this post! Are you a situational dresser? Or do you wing it? You do wear the clothes, the clothes don’t wear you…but are you wearing the right clothes that make you feel confident? I’d love to hear your thoughts!
